Re: Help with trying to soundproof shop building

I was considering trying to build off of the floor anyway to help reduce those issues. I had also planned on possibly spacing out a foot or so from the opening door to possibly build another door...

Re: Help with trying to soundproof shop building

The more i've researched, the more this option makes sense.

I really don't have a budget in place yet. With that said, I will definitley have one, it just may take me a lot longer to finish it...

Re: Help with trying to soundproof shop building

The more sound proof, the better. Ideally I would like to go drum at any hour of the day/night.

Re: Pork Pie Hip Pig Eastern Mahogany Snare

I got mine in today and I am MORE than pleased with the purchase. Finish is great and the drum sounds fantastic! I have it tuned pretty tight with factory heads and I really enjoy it.

Re: Help Identifying Rogers Kit

Thanks for the info. I sent John a PM. I don't think it has the bottom hoops. Trying to stay as original as possible, would it be overly difficult to find those online?

Help Identifying Rogers Kit

Hi,

The singer for a band i've played with in the past just got a Rogers kit and he was wanting some info on it. I figured this would be the best place as I am not overly familiar with older kits....

Re: Sonor Players Kit from Sam Ash

I don't want to bring up an older post, but that wrap looks awesome.

I'm REALLY considering picking up a Player's kit for practices, small gigs, and the kiddos to play. How hard was it to rewrap...

Re: Can you identify this Acrolite?

I've heard they are bad about that. In your experience, was their shipping calculator at least partially accurate?

Re: Can you identify this Acrolite?

I live in a pretty small area. Craigslist usually doesn't pan out unless I want to travel 2 hours+. Are there any great online places to pick up an Acrolite for a great price?

Re: Mapex @ NAMM 2014

I'm interested to see what is planned.

I've got a 2007 era M Birch kit and i've recently got the "new kit fever". I'm considering upgrading to a Saturn IV or jumping ship completely soon. I'm...

Re: Anyone ever compete in the GC drum off?

This year will be the third time I have done it. I've had a good time every time, but i've always been disappointed. I was hoping to be able to interact with some other drummers and "talk drums", see...

Re: Looking for snare recommendations

Thanks for the comments everyone. Due to budgetary concerns (and my fear of not using my trusted DW brass), I am going to go with a Ludwig Supralite 6.5x14. It seems like a solid choice. The 402...

Re: Looking for snare recommendations

I did some research on a LM400 and the LM402. The LM402 sounds amazing. It is really what I am going for. I would also be interested in a LM404, just not sure where I can find it for around $100. I...

I've had this feeling before. It will pass. I took a two year break at one point, but when the feeling hit, it hit. I wanted to get back into the swing of things. I ended up joining a few groups and...

Re: Where do you buy your DVD's?

I honestly buy DVDs and books at the cheapest place (usually amazon, ebay). I'm all for supporting local business, but the nearest Guitar Center or store with a decent drum selection is 90 miles away.
