Very nice, I am a big fan of smaller toms, I use an 8X8 and 10X10 on my kit on top of a pair of 22"X30" kicks. I love the zildjian rock crashes too, I have an 18".

22" Diameter by 30" Long. They are, as they say, bloody impressive. I like the contrast of the grey against the black, although I know that's not entirely intentional.

No, they are 22" wide and 30 inches deep. They are like cannons.

Nice kit, btw. I thought i was the only one partial to small toms. I'm a big guy bt i like my drums small. I am 8". 10", 12", 14" toms and a 12" snare. I feel it offers more maneuverability.

I do, on the other page, click here. They thunder live, make your chest vibrate, recorded they are a little muffled.

this is a song from a c.d. I released earlier this year, written to my daughter, and at the end is the 28" gong. Scroll to the bottom the page once you click on the link, and the song is "Daddy Baby Girl" I also sing lead.

OK, the page is down...I can however e-mail the song if you're interested

30" long, that sounds rediculous

Re: new tom, new cymbal, new pics

It's the same effect as adding a subwoofer (Only permanent) , just gives a killer deep sound. plus it's a great conversation piece. just personalised my kit. They were actually quite popular in the 80's up to 32" deep. The longest I saw were 48" deep, and those were a bit long for me.

The page is back up if anyone is interested in hearing.

well, they kinda look flimsy.

with ur new finish, do you still see the seams?

and how the f do you transport those, damn.

They are bolted together so they aren't flimsy at all. As for the seams, you can see them up close, as I did them myself, But from 12, 14 feet away you can't see them, so playing out, people rarely notice the seams.

And for transporting, the entire kit fits perfectly in the back of a ford windstar. Bur for those ocassions I don't feel like hauling the whole thing, I also have 5 piece ddrum kit (Acoustic).

I may retire that to the music room in the next year or so and pick up a 5 piece maybe pdp, I like the finish on yours. and use that primarily for gigs, keep the monster for practice and recording and keep my ddrum's at church. What is the finish on yours?

Re: new tom, new cymbal, new pics

Wow. Nice kit. I play a similar, 1-tom set up. Keep groovin'.

If you want to make the bass drum look "cleaner", touch up the holes from the tom mount with black (or brown, in your case) paint, I did the same with my old Tama Stagestars, and it looked like I had a "free floating" 18" bass drum in conjunction with my Gibraltar 350C rack.

If you don't want to draw\paint directly on the shell, you could use tape stips inside the holes, that you paint black. If\when you are gonna sell it you can just remove the tiny bits of tape. Not to kill your idea thumper, but this seemed like a better idea to me...

Really nice setup by the way. I just started with a 22'' 8'' 12'' 13''(snare) setup, going from 22'' 8'' 10'' 12'' 14'' 16'' -14'',13'',10'' snares- and going back to single from double pedal. It feels great to play a little kit again, like for jazz and bop. Like that snare, really nice looking. Sounds good?
