I think that’s a cool idea. You have to wonder if their weight will affect the playability of the pedal in some small way.

If there is, I'll let you know. I know the 9000 pedals actually have two tension screws keeping in the rod (which I thought was cool but a little overkill), so I'll leave one of them loose.

I have 2 of these on my Speed Cobras. At least on the SCs, they were a little tricky to install -- I definitely had to use the ratchet feature. Once I got them on, one of them has been great and hasn't come loose. The other one did come loose once after playing, so I had to re-tighten it a bit. So far, so good.
